Decode the Universe: Science Week 2025 with Stile Education
Stile has launched a free, all-in-one Science Week Pack filled with engaging, curriculum-aligned resources designed to spark curiosity, with minimal prep required from teachers.

From growing plants on the Moon to designing space habitats, Science Week 2025 is your chance to Decode the Universe in your classroom.
Running from Saturday 9 August to Sunday 17 August, this year’s Science Week theme celebrates the hidden patterns in nature, technology and the cosmos.
Stile has created a free, curriculum-aligned Science Week unit for Years 7–10 classrooms so teachers can deliver engaging lessons without hours of prep.
What’s Inside Stile’s Science Week 2025 Pack
The Decode the Universe theme is all about uncovering patterns, solving problems and thinking like a scientist. Stile’s resources bring this to life with a full week of hands-on, ready-to-teach activities based on real-world science.

Monday: Plants - Lunar Edition – Growing Seeds to grow Plants on the Moon
Students become space botanists in Australia’s first lunar biology experiment. They investigate which seeds are most likely to survive space travel and grow on the Moon, exploring both genetic and environmental factors. Students' findings contribute to the Lunaria One ALEPH-1 mission, connecting classroom learning to real space research.
Tuesday: Destination Moon – Escape Room Challenge
A fast-paced, problem-solving adventure where students work together to rescue a stranded astronaut. They crack codes, solve puzzles and complete challenges linked to Moon science and space exploration, including references to the Lunaria One mission. Designed for all year levels with minimal setup, it is a teacher-friendly favourite.
Wednesday: Lunarium Design Challenge – Engineering Meets Imagination
Students take on the role of engineers tasked with delivering a plant habitat (lunarium) safely to the Moon. They sketch, discuss and refine their ideas, considering how to protect plants and water supplies during a turbulent space journey. This activity blends biology with engineering-design thinking, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
Thursday: Meet the Scientist Webinar – Live Q&A with Lauren Fell
14 August at 1 pm (AEST)
Students connect directly with the scientist leading Australia’s first lunar biology mission. Lauren Fell shares behind-the-scenes insights into the ALEPH-1 mission and answers student questions in real time.
It is an inspiring opportunity for students to see science in action and meet a role model working at the forefront of space research.
