The Super Teacher Challenge

The Super Teacher Challenge

Unleash your inner super teacher!

You might have heard of the Stile Super Teacher Challenge before. Well… it’s back for 2026.

This year, your mission is simple: charge up your Stile superpowers, sharpen your teaching toolkit and earn some very real-world rewards.

Over four action-packed weeks, you’ll receive one mission per week. Each mission unlocks practical tools you can use immediately in your classroom. No radioactive spiders involved (I promise).

Your arch nemesis:
❌ Boring science lessons
❌ Endless planning
❌ Time-consuming marking

Your secret weapon? Stile.

How to participate

The training badges in Stile’s Professional Learning Hub are designed to equip you with everything you need for confident, day-to-day teaching. This year’s challenge focuses on four essential badges. These are the core powers that set you up for a super start to the year.

To take part, simply log in to the Professional Learning Hub, complete the required modules, and earn the four designated badges before the deadline to officially unlock Super Teacher status. Already have these four badges? You'll have a chance to level up by earning a total of nine badges by the end of the challenge period.

The missions

Each week, you’ll focus on earning one of four badges in the Professional Learning Hub.

Week One: Launch Legend
Monday 23 February–Sunday 1 March

Every superhero needs an origin story.

Launch Legend sets you up for success with everything you need to get started using Stile, including:

  • Stile’s complete curriculum resources
  • How to organise your lessons
  • How to add students
  • Prepare, Teach and Analyse modes in Stile

Week Two: Planning Pro
Monday 2 March–Sunday 8 March

Even superheroes need a strategy.

Stile gives you a fully curriculum-aligned teaching and learning program without the late-night planning marathons. Become a Planning Pro and discover how to spend less time planning and more time doing what you do best: teaching.

Your planning superpowers include:

  • A fully aligned scope and sequence
  • Unit overviews
  • Teaching Plans
  • Lab Guides
  • Parent letters

Consider it your teaching utility belt, fully stocked and ready for action.

Week Three: Engagement Expert

Monday 9 March–Sunday 15 March

Superpowers are best used in the moment.

Unlike many technology tools, Stile enhances your teaching. It doesn’t replace it. Using Teach Mode helps you supercharge your classroom practice and bring evidence-based strategies to life. Engagement Expert is all about:

  • Guiding student focus
  • Amplifying student voice
  • Making thinking visible

Turning good lessons into unforgettable ones. Because science shouldn’t just be learned. It should be experienced.

Week Four: Feedback Fan
Monday 16 March–Sunday 22 March

Providing meaningful feedback doesn’t have to take hours.

With Stile (and ✨Stile Intelligence✨), you can give students the feedback they need, in real time and beyond.

In this mission, you'll explore:

Real-time feedback

  • Review student responses anonymously
  • Model high-quality answers

Ongoing feedback

  • Automatically marked questions
  • Leaving feedback comments
  • Quick Review tools

Address learning goals with precision and reclaim your evenings.

Super prizes

Every teacher who completes the challenge by earning all four badges will receive:

  • A Super Teacher Certificate
  • An iron-on Super Teacher badge (for your cape… or lab coat)

Teachers who already have these four badges, or who earn them all during the challenge period, will receive the above prizes and have the opportunity to level up. Earn five more badges (Revision Ruler, Customising Connoisseur, Data Dynamo, Literacy Lifter and Simulation Superstar) by 12 April, 2026 and you'll earn a pair of our new Stile socks too! Then you'll be a Super Duper Teacher.

Plus:

If every teacher in your department earns the four required badges, you go in the draw to win a morning tea on us. There's one up for grabs in each state. Assemble your department. Greatness (and pastries) await.

FAQs

  • What’s the latest I can earn badges to gain super teacher status and receive a prize?
Badges must be earned by 11:59 pm AEDT, Sunday 12 April.
    No time machines available.
  • What about the department-level morning tea prize?
If every teacher in your department has earned the four badges (regardless of when), your department is in the draw. Already have some superheroes on staff? That counts.
  • There are more badges available. Why are you only focused on four?
We’ve kept the challenge focused and achievable, targeting the most powerful, practical badges for confident day-to-day use of Stile. If you get those four and want to go further, you can earn an extra prize by earning a total of nine badges.
  • Do I need to earn each badge in its assigned week?
Nope. You can complete them in any order. As long as you’ve earned all required badges by 11:59 pm AEDT, Sunday 12 April, they’ll be counted. Choose your own adventure.
  • I’m not in Australia. Can I still take part?
This version of the Super Teacher Challenge is open to teachers in Australia and New Zealand only. Teaching elsewhere and feeling heroic? Let us know.
  • I did the challenge last year. Can I do it again?
If you earned Super Teacher status last year, you'll still have your badges and won't be able to earn them again. This means you won't be eligible for this year's prizes. We encourage you to rally your department because the morning tea prize is still up for grabs.
  • I’ve already earned these four badges. Do I get a prize?
Unless you earned a prize last year, then yes! We'll send you an iron-on badge and certificate if you've got these four badges.
  • I’ve already earned these four badges. What next?
Want to challenge yourself further? You can add a nifty pair of Stile socks to your prize pack by earning five more specific badges by 11:59 pm AEDT, Sunday 12 April. Get your Revision Ruler, Customising Connoisseur, Data Dynamo, Simulation Superstar and Literacy Lifter badges to earn your socks.
  • My school doesn’t use Stile. Can I participate?
The Super Teacher Challenge is open to teachers at Stile-using schools only. Want to trial Stile and join the fun? Email community@stileeducation.com and we’ll help you get started.
  • When will prizes be sent?
Prizes will be sent to your school address during the Term One school holidays so they land early in Term Two. Super deliveries take a little time, but if you haven't received them by Week Two of Term Two, let us know.
