Victoria invests in Stile for science teaching: What Stile’s 2026 rollout means for your school
The Department of Education has selected Stile as the single funded science software for all Victorian government secondary schools in 2026

The Department of Education has selected Stile as the single funded science software for all Victorian government secondary schools in 2026. This means every government secondary school in Victoria will continue to receive full access to Stile for Years 7 to 10 through the Software for Connected Learners program.

This decision represents a clear investment in high-quality science education across the state. It ensures that every school has access to engaging, curriculum-aligned materials that support teacher agency and strengthen student learning outcomes in science from Years 7 to 10.

We will continue working closely with Victorian science departments so that teachers are supported, informed, and confident in using the program from day one.

A complete, knowledge-rich science program for Years 7 to 10

From 2026, every Victorian government secondary school will have access to a fully aligned science program that supports the Victorian Curriculum, Version 2.0. Stile provides:

  • A coherent sequence of lessons across Years 7 to 10
  • Teaching resources grounded in evidence-based pedagogy
  • A consistent planning structure that is always up to date
  • A suite of ready-to-teach assessments and activities designed to engage students and improve learning

Every Stile lesson is customisable, allowing departments to tailor units to their students' needs and unique context. Stile provides the foundation. Teachers bring their expertise and make it their own.

  • Curriculum-aligned units that are ready to teach
  • Model answers, teaching notes and laboratory guidance
  • Integrated tools that help students improve skills in literacy, maths, science and more

Teachers spend less time searching for materials and gain more time to prepare for rich, differentiated learning experiences.
